Thursday, September 2

Attention all students that have paid for parking: See Mr. Garcia during the lunch hours outside the cafeteria this week for your parking sticker and to double check your parking spot location. Mr. Garcia can typically be found during the school year after 7:00 a.m. in the south parking lot. Look for a large silver van.

Please return any books that you checked out to read over the summer. The library will be open from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Thank you.

Auditions for the one-act competition play, Abra-cadaver, will be held immediately after school Sept. 13th and 14th in the Black Box (room 184). You need only come one day. Scripts are available for preview in the Black Box. There are parts for 3 guys and 2 girls. See Miss Aeppler with any questions.

Auditions for the upcoming musical, Mame, will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 7th and 8th in the choir room (room 181) starting at 6:45 pm. You need only come one day. Scripts and music can be previewed in the choir room or in the Black Box (room 184). Anyone interested in a lead must sing something from the show. See Miss Aeppler or Mrs. Bigus with any questions.

Attention, freshmen! Student council is accepting your applications via infinite campus. the first student council meeting is at 7:10am on Friday in the black box theater. see Mrs. Austino or Mrs. Lentz in room 116 if you have questions.

If you were a student that received an ID that did not get the SAA logo printed on it but you paid for that, replacement student ID's will be distributed during the lunch hours on Thursday, September 2nd. Please bring your current ID along in order to receive the corrected ID.

Attention all Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors, please go on Infinite Campus TODAY and make your final vote for the Homecoming theme for 2010. This is your LAST CHANCE to make your voice heard for the Homecoming theme 2010. The window will close TODAY at 11:59 PM. You only have ONE DAY to make your choice for the 2010 Homecoming theme. Yes, you heard me correctly, go on Infinite Campus and VOTE TODAY!!

Even though exam days are open campus, the parking lot rules still apply. Students need to park in their assigned spot. Do not park in the front of the building or in teacher or quest spaces or you will be ticketed by the Brookfield Police. There will be no daily fees charged on exam days. If you do not have assigned parking, you must park in the southeast lot. Also remember, no headphones or cell phones are allowed during exam periods.

Hey Brookfield East! Asian Club will be having its last movie night of the year this Friday in the black box theater. We'll be watching Kung Fu Hustle, a hilarious action comedy that's won many awards. The movie starts at 7PM and we'll be providing pizza and soda. Admission is only $3, so bring all your friends and we hope to see you there!

Attention art students! If you want your artwork from the current school year you must pick it up by this Friday. After Friday it will be disposed of.

Yesterday, the boys golf competed in the WIAA golf sectional at Washington County Golf Course. The team battled to the end, but came up 10 shots short of qualifying for the state tournament as a team. Individually, the Spartans did qualify two individuals. Congratulations to Kyle Henning and Kevin Haack for qualifying for the WIAA Boys Golf State Tournament next week

ALL GIRLS interested in going out for cross country in the fall must attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, June 1st immediately after school in Coach Leupold's room. The meeting will be from 3:15 to 3:30. New runners are ALWAYS welcome! Important summer running and weight training dates will be shared. See you then!

Each lunch hour votes for their favorite sumo wrestlers; the lunch hour with the most money wins the sumo contest with their sumo wrestlers during their lunch hour. Come support Marley Blood this Wednesday night at Mount Mary College play in the All-Star Basketball Game. These are seniors from the Milwaukee Area playing to fight against abuse. Game time starts at 6:00 pm and is only $5. The boys All-star game starts after at 7:30.

All second hour classes will be given ONE MINUTE during the announcements to collect donations to benefit Felicity Johnson's Whispering Seed orphanage in Thailand. Not a week, not a day, but ONE MINUTE. The class with the highest donations will win breakfast treats. These could be from Pannera, these could be from Great Harvest, these could be home-made, or they could be from ALL THREE. All you have to do is bring your donation next Wednesday.

Highlighting the day was sophomore Nick Schimborski who broke the conference record in the 400 meter dash. Hug and Kiss messages can be purchased during all lunch hours this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the FBLA table. Hug and Kiss messages will be delivered to Seniors on Wednesday, May 26th.

The ASVAB test will be given in the CCRC this Friday, May 21st at 8:00 a.m. Please sign up in the CCRC if you would like to take this test. An interpretation will be provided a week after the exam.

Come and listen to your friends perform some beautiful music...from every period and style of classical music. Members of the senior class will be featured. Attention Seniors! Senior Banquet ticket sales have been extended for one more day. You can purchase tickets today during all three lunch hours. Tickets are $26 per person for the Senior Banquet which is on Thursday, June 10 but tomorrow is your last chance to get these tickets.

The ASVAB test will be given in the CCRC this Friday, May 21st at 8:00 a.m. Please sign up in the CCRC if you would like to take this test. An interpretation will be provided a week after the exam.

The CCRC is having a Career Presentation on Wednesday, May 19th (please say today on the 19th) during Third Hour. Our speaker will be discussing careers in the banking industry. Please come to the CCRC at the beginning of third hour if you would like to attend.

Congrats to the Boys golf team yesterday. The Spartans took second place in their Greater Metro Conference match at Tripoli Golf Course.

The Miracle Minute planning meeting to organize a fundraiser to help Felicity Johnson's organization "Whispering Seeds" will be meeting in room 230 Wednesday morning at 7:30 AM. All students interested in particpating should come to the meeting or please talk to Mr. Coffey.

Attention all of you that applied for Student Council via Infinite Campus. PLEASE check your school's email as soon as possible. Yes, that is correct all of you that applied for Student Council, please check your school's email. An important message was sent regarding you and Student Council for the 2010-2011 school year. If you have any questions, please see Lentz or Fotsch in room 210.

Girls Volleyball Open Gym will be on Thursday, May 20 and 27 from 7-9pm and Monday, June 7 from 6-8pm.

Attention all athletes interested in going out for boys' volleyball in the fall. There will be a brief informational meeting regarding summer opportunities in Room 166 on Thursday, May 20th at 3:15pm.

May 18th is Yearbook Distribution Day! Yearbooks will be distributed on Tuesday, May 18 in the CCRC during your lunch hour. You must have a picture ID to claim your yearbook: NO EXCEPTIONS. School ID's can be purchased in the Athletic Office. If you still want to purchase a yearbook, you may do this through the front office for $60-- there is a very limited supply of extra books. Again, Yearbooks are distributed on May 18th in the CCRC to those who have a picture ID

On Tuesday, May 18th at 7:55 AM, the senior class will have its annual class group picture taken in the field house. Order envelopes and instructions are available from the front office. Seniors, please do not forget that you must bring the order form and money with you when the senior class picture is photographed. This will be the only time and place to order.

Hug or Kiss a Senior good-bye. For just 50 cents, give your senior friends a Hershey's hug or a kiss as you wish them well with their future. Hug and Kiss messages can be purchased during all lunch hours this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the FBLA table. Hug and Kiss messages will be delivered to Seniors on Wednesday, May 26th.
